Formed in 1967 as the Chicago Transit Authority (a name they had to change when the actual transit authority objected), Chicago burst on the scene with a distinctively horn-intensive brand of rock and became one of the most commercially successful bands of all time.

Peter Cetera, vocalist and bass player with Chicago, underwent emergency surgery lasting five hours after losing four teeth while attending a baseball game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs. A gang of rednecks objected to the length of Peter's rock star hair, and clarified their feelings with their fists in a somewhat cowardly manner.
