Closing with Cocker
Posted:Monday, 10/08/2012 at 03:10am by Greg Easterling
We wrapped up last week with one of the longtime voices of classic rock, Joe Cocker, himself heavily influenced by another legendary figure, Ray Charles.

It was Joe's American debut named for his iconic cover of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's classic, With a Little Help From My Friends. Friends like Jimmy Page and Steve Winwood plus Joe's own Grease Band featuring Chris Stainton on keyboards and members of then label mates(A&M) Procol Harum. We listened to Side 1 which also includes Cocker's covers of "Feeling Alright" and Dylan's "Just Like A Woman".
