Dire Straits Again
Posted:Tuesday, 10/23/2012 at 04:10am by Greg Easterling
We reached back this morning for Dire Straits and their classic 1985 release, Brothers In Arms, one of the true highlights on their great list of albums.

Guitarist, producer and band leader Mark Knopfler had certainly come a long way since the band's noteworthy late 70's debut. Brothers In Arms was an exercise in songcraft with some of the best Knopfler compositions included: "So Far Away", Walk Of Life", etc. "Money For Nothing" was a big radio and MTV hit with help from Sting.

This morning we flipped the album over and listened to Side 2 which included lesser played gems such as "Ride Across The River" and "One World" as well as the title track.
