End In Sight for Morrison, The Doors
Posted:Tuesday, 11/13/2012 at 03:11am by Greg Easterling
We looked back at The Doors this morning and more specifically, the end of their live performances with Jim Morrison which occurred around this date in 1970.

The last live show with Jim happened at a venue called The Warehouse in New Orleans during which Morrison reportedly experienced some sort of breakdown or loss of energy onstage after physically damaging part of the stage. The other members of the band decided not to perform live with Jim again after this incident.

However, The Doors including Morrison would go on finish the L.A. Woman album which was eventually released in April of the following year, 1971. A few months later, Jim Morrison died in Paris on July 3rd.

This morning we tracked Side 2 of L.A. Woman, including the classic "Riders On The Storm" plus "The WASP(Texas Radio And The Big Beat)" and a cover of John Lee Hooker's "Crawling King Snake".
