The Who By Numbers
Posted:Thursday, 11/29/2012 at 04:11am by Greg Easterling
We're spotlighting The Who all day and this morning we featured The Who By Numbers, released in late 1975 as the band's output was slowing down.

The previous year's record, Odds And Sods was a collection of previously recorded but unreleased songs going back as far as 1964 so The Who By Numbers was the first full album of all new material from Pete and the rest of the band since Quadrophenia was released in late '73.

It would be three more years before we'd get the follow-up to The Who By Numbers...Who Are You, the band's final new album to feature drummer Keith Moon before his untimely death.

We listened to Side 1 today which included the hit "Squeeze Box" and also "Slip Kid", both rarely peformed live in concert over the years.
