Keith's Birthday
Posted:Wednesday, 12/19/2012 at 02:12am by 0
It was Keith Richards' birthday yesterday and we celebrated another one for the most hard living Stone of all time. Fortunately, he's changed his ways to a certain extent over the years. We're lucky to still have him around and active with the band at this point.

Over the decades, Keith has gradually become the most enduring symbol of the Stones, eclipsing the early popularity of both Brian Jones and Mick Jagger. It's interesting, maybe we can relate to Keith better as he's aged albeit prematurely at times and emerged as a survivor in the often transitory world of pop music.

We spotlighted the best selling Stones album of all time, Some Girls from 1978. We tracked Side 2 which includes one of Keith's rare but desired lead vocals on "Before They Make Me Run". Plus lyrics primarily by Keith on "Beast of Burden" although he shares writing credit with Jagger on most Stones songs.
