New Year...Another Project
Posted:Wednesday, 01/02/2013 at 04:01am by Greg Easterling
We began a brand new year of Overnight Album Sides this morning with The Alan Parsons Project.

1/2 is the birthday of noted scientist, philosopher and sci-fi writer Isaac Asimov and today we featured an album influenced by Asimov's writing in his story, I Robot. Parsons' album of the same name came out in 1977 and was one of the most successful ever for the onetime Beatles/Pink Floyd engineer and producer turned recording artist. The songs were definately there as well as Parsons' pick of studio musicians and guest singers including The Hollies' Allan Clarke here.

We listened to Side 1 this time highlighted by "I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You", "Breakdown" and the instrumental title track.
