Clemons Remembered
Posted:Thursday, 01/17/2013 at 02:01am by Greg Easterling
Friday was the birthday of Clarence Clemons, saxophonist and longtime member of Bruce Springsteen's legendary E Street Band. Clarence passed in June of 2011; he'll always be remembered as a nearly indispensable part of Bruce's long running band.

We featured the second Springsteen album this time, The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle, released in 1973 with Clemons already on board and pictured on the cover.

Bruce and Clarence made up one of the most distinctive 1-2 punches in rock history, a relationship commemorated on the cover of Born To Run...Bruce and the Big Man leaning on each other. One of the great partnerships in classic rock.
