Close To The Edge with Yes
Posted:Tuesday, 01/22/2013 at 04:01am by Greg Easterling
We treated ourselves to a side of vintage Yes this morning. It was Close To The Edge from 1972, one of the band's most ambitious works recorded by arguably the most classic lineup of the band: Anderson, Bruford, Squire, Wakeman and Howe.

There's actually just three tracks that make up the whole record. Side 1 is devoted to the side-long title track in four parts and that's what we heard this morning.

The current lineup of Yes has been making regular stops in the Chicago area in recent years. They played Rosemont Theatre last summer and will appear at the Venue inside Horseshoe Casino this March. According to the print ad for the concert, Yes will focus on perfoming music from three specific records: The Yes Album, Close To The Edge and Going For The One.
