Gilmour's Birthday

We hit the midpoint of our week yesterday with a birthday salute and a tip of the hat to longtime Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour who's another year older now.

David's first solo album was released in 1978 featuring a sound not dissimilar to his work with Pink Floyd. Despite his solo excursion here, Pink Floyd remained the main object of Gilmour's attention for some time to come, even after Roger Waters departed.

Gilmour has gone on to record three more of his own albums, two of them coming in more recent years. This time we put on Side 1 of Dave's self titled solo debut including the song, "There's No Way Out of Here".
