EC's Birthday too...
Posted:Saturday, 03/30/2013 at 07:03am by Greg Easterling
We finished up a full week of late night vinyl with an early birthday alert for Eric Clapton(Saturday), celebrating a day early with a side from Eric's legendary band, Derek And The Dominoes and their 1970 classic, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.

It's worth mentioning that initially not everyone knew that Eric and Duane Allman were featured on this album given the somewhat anonymous nature of the bandname. Eventually of course, word spread and the title track became one of the most iconic in rock radio history.

We listened to Side 3, featuring three classic jams, "Tell The Truth", "Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad" and "Have You Ever Loved A Woman?".
