Taxman for Tax Day
Posted:Monday, 04/15/2013 at 03:04am by Greg Easterling
It's the day many of us dread unless you're expecting a refund of course...April 15th, the due date for federal and state tax returns in the good ole US of A!

One of the best tax-related songs was written by George Harrison back in the mid-60's. It's "Taxman" with its scalding lyrics directed towards the Brit government at the time. Despite the situation, George and the rest of Fab Four managed to hold onto quite a bit of their money!

Instead of burying the song on Side 2, "Taxman" was chosen to kick off Side 1...quite an event for George especially with all those great Lennon-McCartney songs. We also heard "Eleanor Rigby" and "Yellow Submarine".
