Catching Up....Aftermath
Posted:Wednesday, 04/24/2013 at 03:04am by Greg Easterling
The Rolling Stones' Aftermath album was released on April 16th, 1966. It was a pivotal record for the band as it contained no covers of other peoples songs, just 11 new songs credited to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Judging from the quality of the songs on Aftermath, the Stones proved more than equal to the concept of an all original album with songs such as "Under My Thumb" and "Paint It Black". We'll check out Side 2 this time.
