Allmans in Chicago

Today we featured a side from the Allman Brothers' acclaimed second album and a longtime fave of mine, Idlewild South. Founding member and guitarist Dickey Betts really stepped up as a songwriter this time, contributing the album's leadoff track, "Revival" and also the most timeless jam here, "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed". Both of those tracks appeared on Side 1 which is the one we featured this morning. The current lineup of the Allmans start a two night stand at the Chicago Theatre tonight. Hope you are going, they are always good.
