The Drive's Live at 5 for the week of September 5-9, 2011

Monday, September 5: Happy Labor Day!

Tuesday, September 6: Pink Floyd
Happy birthday to Roger Waters, certainly of Pink Floyd fame, but a solo artist now for longer than his Pink Floyd expereience. In May 31st The Roger Waters Collection was released as a 7 CD, 1 DVD set, with each album packaged in a mini-LP replica sleeve with original artwork and masters. Note: does NOT include The Wall Live In Berlin as it was on a different label.

Wednesday, September 7: George Harrison
The "quiet Beatle" is finally getting his due, and it's about time! The Grammy Museum in L.A. will host a retrospective of his life and career titled Living In The Material World, which eventually will travel (how 'bout here?!). HBO will run a Martin Scorcese-directed documentary on George in two parts, October 5th & 6th. Finally, Olivia, George's widow, will bring out what appears to be a fascinating book on him September 27th. I'm thinking Christmas gifts!

Thursday, September 8: Fleetwood Mac
Lindsay Buckingham will have a new solo album out next month, on which he does just about everything but order out for dinner. He's playing the Vic Theatre in Chicago on September 18th, and hints at major Fleetwood Mac activity for 2012.

Friday, September 9: Aerosmith
Tomorrow Aerosmith guitar slinger Joe Perry celebrates his birthday, but the presents can be yours, as per his website. The giveaway ends the 12th, so go to joeperry.com for details.

I don't want to miss a thing,
