Rio Rita Russel said... No Lindsay Lohan or Jessica Simpson...?!!! What a travesty! |

JZ said... No CCR, Pink Floyd, Dusty In Memphis? Stevie Wonder's "Innervisions", Dylan's "Nashville Skyline", Who's "Quadrophenia" or "Tommy", the 1st Led Zeppelin album, Stones "Let It Bleed"? |
kevin said... Some releases that seem to be missing would be Deep Purple's "machine head" or the Doors "L.A. woman" and maybe even the Allman Brothers "Eat a peach". |
Peggy said... HUH! I think a 100 albums from each decade would be the way to go. They missed so much! There was WAY to much going on musicly in the '60s to just pick 22. What about Janis Joplin??? Ray Charles?? The Supremes?? and that's just the '60s. That list is a joke. |
Nina said... No Byrds? No Kinks? No Steely Dan? |
Keith said... I've heard these "experts" from Time interviewed for similar lists and they are typically yuppies in their late 20's early 30's who have no idea what true classic rock is. |
Dan said... I agree with Peggy -- the 60s and 70s were so rich that they could easily have 100 each. It's interesting that several selections from the 90s and 00s were from artists of the 50s & 60s. |

Teaser said... Re: today's 10 at 10 for 1975, No Wildfire Woman by Bad Company, but Call On Me was an acceptable replacement. Thank you. |

Robert said... No Moby Grape, no Mamas & Papas, no Joe Walsh (except HC), no Zappa, no CTA (later Chicago), no Moody Blues, no Jeff Beck, no Poco, no Jethro Tull, no Ted Nugent and no Warren Zevon, but they include all that swill from the 2000's. Well, no accounting for taste, that's for sure... |

RANDY said... "YOU CAN TUNE A PIANO, BUT YOU CAN'T TUNE A FISH" BY REO SPEEDWAGON SHOULD BE ON THE LIST. |

Bill Schneider said... Thats because they are overplayed. Need more OLD stuff by Van Morrison |
Bill said... I sure hope there is some Hendrix and Dylan on the list. They were a crucial voice during the 60\\\'s and 70\\\'s. |
