Marie said... I've listened to LOVE and haven't heard anything more beautiful or interesting in a long time. THIS is true art. As a thirty-something, I too, appreciate it's superior class! Right on! |

Keith said... I completely agree with you. Rap is the lowest form of music, if you can even call it that. The Beatles music was about love and should not be "mixed" with the vulgarities of rap and hip-hop. |

John said... Well stated Bob. That particular rock critic doesn't like "popular" music much. I laugh when he writes that the Stones only play the "hits." The common rock fan wants to hear the hits! Keep rockin' |

Cochise said... Like some "Love", leave some ... just glad Nige did some. By the by, nice monologue Bobby. |

JZ said... As usual, the reworkings of an original recording using the original artist and producer far surpasses anything else that could be conceived musically. Kudos to the Martins & the Beatles. |

Dan said... I agree with you all about rap/mixes. I think the comments of our unnamed (but easily indentifiable) rock music critic are off-target. A gray or black version of The White Album is better? Come on! |

P Daddy Bo Bo said... Stroud, You're right on the money with that "Rap Crap". Now could you teach me how to get my sons less interested in rap and more into Rungren? |

Randy said... THANKYOU TO THE DRIVE FOR PLAYING REO SPEEDWAGON RECENTLY, INCLUDING TODAY AROUND 5:30PM. I ALWAYS ENJOY LISTENING TO "THE DRIVE" ON MY DRIVE HOME. THANKYOU AND "KEEP ON ROLLING" AS MR CRONIN SAID. |

Bill Schneider said... I do have a respect for all kinds of music. Jack Johnson for instance. But some of the new Rap crap that is around either I'm getting tone deaf or something but can't understand a word they say. |
