Lionel Train Adventure at Lincoln Park Zoo
In honor of their new electric-powered locomotive, Lincoln Park Zoo will be opening the new Lionel Train Adventure on October 2 and offering a weekend of events through October 5. Equipped with coal cars and a wheelchair accessible caboose, the brand new track-less train takes passengers on a journey beginning at a red brick station and embarking through a rich evergreen forest before returning to the red brick station. Humane Society Calumet Area (HSCA) hosts its first Bark & Bowl, a night of crazy, cosmic bowling to benefit the animals at HSCA on October 4 from 8 to 11 p.m. at Plaza Lanes, 8101 Kennedy Ave, Highland, IN. The cost is $30 per bowler, which includes three hours of bowling, shoe rental, and a dessert bar by Gold Star Café and Catering. Crazy bowling is bowling with a twist. 'Institutional corruption' is the product of legal influences that undermine the effectiveness of an institution, especially by weakening its public trust.
