David Crosby
David Crosby's distinctive harmonies and fearless musical and personal quests were a guiding force behind first Buffalo Springfield and later Crosby Stills & Nash (and Crosby Stills Nash & Young), as well as Crosby's own solo projects over the years. Equally noteworthy have been Crosby's personal problems, culminating with his lengthy stint in a Texas jail during the mid-'80s on drug and weapons charges. Emerging from the experience (and a subsequent liver transplant) with a new lease on life, Crosby continues to tour periodically with his former bandmates. Reunited in the '90s with musician James Raymond, his son from an early relationship, Crosby also records and performs in a new group, CPR, with Raymond and guitarist Jeff Pevar.
