Eddie Money
A New York police academy student by day and rocker by night, cop's son Eddie Money (born Mahoney) left the East Coast to join the Bay Area's thriving rock club scene in the late '70s, eventually being discovered by legendary promoter Bill Graham. His self-titled album and the single "Two Tickets to Paradise" soon followed, leading to a string of hits; in the '80s he became one of the first rock artists to embrace the emerging rock-video format with the comic "Shakin'" and "Think I'm in Love." After battling a number of rock-star lifestyle excesses later in the '80s, Money staged a comeback with several more successful albums, and is currently a regular on the oldies circuit.
