Graham Nash
Like many of his contemporaries, Graham Nash got his start during the late-'50s skiffle craze that eventually spawned The Beatles and half of what became known as the British Invasion. Nash's engaging stage manner, songwriting and vocals were key factors in the success of The Hollies, who started out with bouncy pop tunes and later ventured into psychedelia and other far-out directions. By 1968 he had started singing with ex-Byrd David Crosby and ex-Buffalo Springfield Stephen Stills in Crosby, Stills & Nash, for which he left The Hollies. Through the group's peaks, harmonies, feuds, dissolutions and reunions, over the next several decades, Nash has remained a genial and respected presence; Crosby has paid tribute to him for his ongoing support in Crosby's ultimately successful struggles with drug addiction. Nash continues to tour with his bandmates in various configurations, as well as to work on solo projects.
