Public Service Spotlight Miller Lite Free Rides
Saturday November 21, 2009 - Friday January 01, 2010
To promote safe celebrations and prevent drunk driving, "Miller Lite Free Rides" will offer local consumers free evening service throughout the city on double-decker buses every Saturday this holiday season. Additional service will be provided on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Buses will travel on a looped route throughout the city, with stops including the Loop, River North, Old Town, Lincoln Park, busy 'L' stops and more. Programs offered by H.O.M.E. include the only free citywide moving and furniture donation program, free shopping transportation services, volunteer services, upkeep and repair services for elderly homeowners in the city of Chicago, and assistance to elderly CHA residents during the Senior Housing Rehabilitation Initiative.
