Support the Animal Care League's work with homeless animals. Attend the Give 'Em Shelter Benefit on Sept. 24th, 6-10 p.m. at Primitive Gallery in Chicago. Join The Drive's Kathy Voltmer for live music, food, drinks, wine tasting, the presentation of the 2010 Animal Advocate Award to Lynne 'Angel' Harvey and your chance to win a 2010 Mercedes Benz. Make a difference in the lives of the 210,000 Illinois residents living with Alzheimer's disease! The Alzheimer's Association - Greater Illinois Chapter will host 15 walks in 2010. Join The Drive for the Chicago Memory Walk on Saturday morning, Sept. 11 at Lincoln Park South Field and on Saturday morning, October 9th for the Schaumburg Memory Walk at Busse Woods Forest Preserve.    Committed to improving the quality of life for Chicago’s low-income elderly, Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly (H.O.M.E.) helps seniors remain independent and part of their community by offering opportunities for intergenerational living and by providing a variety of citywide support services.

Programs offered by H.O.M.E. include the only free citywide moving and furniture donation program, free shopping transportation services, volunteer services, upkeep and repair services for elderly homeowners in the city of Chicago, and assistance to elderly CHA residents during the Senior Housing Rehabilitation Initiative.
