Save-A-Pet no-kill rescue and adoption center in Grayslake, Illinois provides a safe haven for abused, neglected, injured, or lost dogs and cats, never rejecting an animal due to age, health, breed, or temperament. Since 1972, Save-A-Pet has saved over 40,000 lives. The fantastic Tuxedos for Tails Dinner & Auction on Saturday, November 8 raises critical funds necessary for Save-A-Pet to continue saving lives and expanding families.     Naperville Pooch Walk for the Homeless 
   Volunteers are needed for the Naperville Pooch Walk for the Homeless, to be held September 24, 2005 to benefit the Franciscan Outreach Association. This event is a picnic and a mile and a half walk with a dog being held at the Grand Pavillion and Riverwalk in historic downtown Naperville. The day includes the 1.5 mile walk, a DJ, pictures with your dog, a pet blessing, food, silent auction, goodie bags, and much, much more. Proceeds of the event will be used to support the programs at Franciscan Outreach Association, a 250 bed homeless shelter, soup kitchen, and case management programs in Chicago.
